The Guardian

July 2nd, 2004

Nicholas Sparks' The Guardian While on our honeymoon we hit Rainbow Books and I picked up my first Nicholas Sparks book. Normally I stay away from Sparks – I thought he was too gushy for my taste. I mean, I loved the movie version of Message in a Bottle, and I enjoyed A Walk to Remember (again, the movie,) but neither were stories I care to read… The happy ending mushy romance thing doesn’t turn me on so much.

Maybe I was wrong.

Finished reading the The Guardian within two days of returning home… I couldn’t put it down and really enjoyed the dog aspect of the story. Although it wasn’t private island good, I do look forward to reading more of Sparks’ work.
