15 weeks

February 4th, 2006

It’s been 15 weeks since my LMP and I haven’t been disciplined enough to document anything. Now is as good a time as any, I suppose.

My pants no longer fit me. I’ve had to upgrade to actual maternity pants. One pair of my old pants do fit, but they were too big to begin with. The mat pants cost way too much. I’ve read that I need to visit my local Old Navy instead of pouring money into Thyme Maternity. There are second hand shops near my house too, I really should check them out.

I’m glad the first trimester is over. I wasn’t barfy, but I was pretty nauseous. I feel like it would have been easier if I had barfed. I was very very sleepy and had no energy. But now that’s over and aside from the fact that I’m now really really sick, I’m feeling much better.

At my next dr appointment, the dr promised me that we’d listen to the heartbeat. I’m very excited about that – you go all this time without any real proof that there’s a kid in there. All I know is that I have no periods and my pants have stopped fitting. Of course the pants not fitting are a great indicator, but before that, I just had to trust that everything was fine. With no actual proof, I was skeptical. Anyhow, a heartbeat will be helpful.

Knitting Olympics

February 4th, 2006

I’ve decided to join the knitting olympics! No idea what I will be making. Surely I can look around to see what others have planned. I don’t want to do something too easy, but I don’t want to kill myself trying to get something completed.
