For the record

Because I missed the boat the last time, I’m recording this now… Sawyer’s con man who got his dad to lose all the family money and John Locke’s dad are the same guy. (If this was already officially revealed, color me embarrassed, I’m not always the most attentive of tv watchers.) I don’t remember them showing the guy’s face in Sawyer’s flashbacks and I’m not about to go fact finding on the internet until I’ve written this entry.

Edited after three seconds of googling: Apparently I’m slow and this was discussed back in 2005…

See, the whole Claire is Jack’s half sister thing – I meant to record that for the world to see because I called that one when the camera flashed on the blond woman that Jack’s father was having the affair with in Australia. Once that was confirmed I was “I told you so”-ing the air, because I didn’t take the time to tell anyone! So now I’m going to go ahead and share my lost opinions, far-fetched as they may be.

Okay so while I’m on the topic of recording my theories… This box. If there really is a box and it’s not some sort of metaphor or code that Ben has made up, I think Walt also used the box way back when he read Hugo’s comic.  Polar bears. And just so you all know, Jim believes that The Man From Tallahassee was on the island pre “box.”

Gallery / Album

Every year or so I stare into space with the same question circling inside my head:  Isn’t there an easier way to organize the photos?!  Gallery, the program I’m currently using works pretty well, but I am starting to find it clunky.  My collection of photos keeps getting bigger and the whole thing is starting to feel like a mess.  Album is really nice and I’ve used it in the past.  But I switched back to gallery for two reasons.  1.  Gallery has a thing it calls “links” which allow you to have a photo that belongs to two albums, without duplicating the photo.  For example, every picture of jonah is supposed to be filed in the chronological folder of its birth, AND linked in the “baby” folder as well.  Most people who look at my photos want to look at the baby, and not at every ridiculous thing I thought I should point my camera at in February.  The second reason for Gallery – it looks better.  I know Album is supposed to be oh-so-flexible, and that if I think it doesn’t look nice I should write a theme of my own, but I’m not willing to sit down and learn how.  Until today, I figured gallery was good enough for my needs.

But once again I’m reexamining my needs in this department…  And hoping that one day soon someone will write the perfect online photo album.
