The Shoes Lasted Most of the Night
I am impressed with the shoes. And the shoe stretcher. And maybe we can all give me some of that credit too. I wore the shoes.
On Thursday I could barely walk to the other side of the office and I made it maybe three hours total with them on. On Friday, after the right shoe sat in the shoe stretcher over night and the left one for several hours, I was able to put them on at 6 and I took them off at around 10 or 11. I think. In all honesty I don’t know what time I took them off, as my watch did not match the outfit, so I didn’t wear it, but I know that I danced a lot and most of the dancing was done in shoes.
I don’t have pictures of the shoes, but here’s a link.
Now I will stop talking about them.
The party was fun: Food, drinks, games, prizes, and dancing. I haven’t gone dancing in at least 8 years. I had forgotten how much fun it is. Remember those high school dances where everyone sat around on the gymnasium bleachers, just watching the cool kids dance? And by cool kids I mean the ones who were smart enough to know that it was more fun to dance than to stand on the side judging. (Although I did my fair share of judging too…) Well this was kind of like that, except I’m still a dork despite the amount of time I spent on the dance floor.
Thankful for a super snowy snow day today, which I am using to nurse my hangover.
